MILCK – the LA-based singer/songwriter and creator of the #icantkeepquiet movement – creates music for the modern day gentle rebel.

Her song “Quiet” – which in 2017 became widely known as the unofficial anthem of the Women’s March movement – continues to turn heads and hearts. The track landed at #2 on NPR’s Year in Music list, and was featured as part of NPR’s American Anthemseries. In 2017, Billboard called “Quiet” the #1 protest song of the year.

She didn’t do it alone either. For the Women’s March, MILCK teamed up with two dozen female singers to perform “Quiet” a cappella as flash mobs on the streets of Washington, DC. A video was captured by award-winning director and Free The Bid founder Alma Har’el and posted online, collecting more than 14 million views in two days.

“Quiet” has proved to be MILCK’s global breakthrough – a cathartic pop anthem for people of all races, creeds, and colors who have suffered and survived in the face of trauma, trial, and tribulation. MILCK has performed on The Today Show, and went on to headline the 2018 Women’s March on New York, with Yoko Ono sharing the stage.

In 2019, MILCK partnered with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Malay, and will be releasing new music this fall.

In addition to her musical endeavors, MILCK has created the #icantkeepquiet fund, which raises awareness and money for non-profits RISE, Equality Now, and Tuesday Night Project.

For nearly two decades, Amani Friend of Desert Dwellers has also been at the helm of the global-electronic project Liquid Bloom. Feeling equally at home on the international festival dance circuit, in the yoga studio, and in the more subtle sonic spaces reserved for intentional ceremonies guided by ancient allies, the wide-ranging artist collective under the umbrella of the Liquid Bloom project spans distance, time, and dimensions of mind.

As one half of Desert Dwellers, Amani brings his dance floor guidance and experience to harness a deeper, transportive journey, giving as much weight to calm and the serene as to the ecstatic groove. As founder of Liquid Bloom, he has guided the project through its many lives, and its many rebirths at the hands of remixers AtYyA, Hedflux, Numatik, and Mose to name a few.

The Liquid Bloom experience unfolds in a multitude of incarnations. Amani is able to craft deep, entrancing journeys during his solo DJ sets. As a duo, Amani and Poranguí are able to balance and weave the organic and the electronic within their performances. With multi-instrumentalists, singers, and performers like Kaminanda, Deya DovaShamans Dream, and Ixchel Prisma, the Liquid Bloom live band springs to life, bringing the catalog into view through an entirely different lens, and bursting with a vibrancy and depth of artistic harmony.
